Chess traditions in Chartres. Day 2. Part 2.
A little exercise in visual storytelling.
I’ll try to share my final impressions from the event in the language of images
Opening
A piece of music
Middle game
Whisper of the chess pieces
Endgame
Joy of conversation.
Peace of mind
Epilogue/Resonance
Thoughts inspired by the play:
Chess is often seen as a confrontation
But conflict happens in the absence of listening
In the absence of a dialogue
In chess it’s present
A multidimensional dialogue unfolds on the stage
The dialogue of
Players with each other;
Pieces interacting across the board;
Pieces asking to be handled with care
While
Players persuade them it is time to attack;
Sometimes
An inner dialogue is the most loud one
When
Players stretch their minds
between doubt and aspiration.
